Kerry J. Morgan is Of Counsel to the law firm of McManimon & Scotland, L.L.C., and concentrates her practice in the areas of public finance, redevelopment and corporate law.
Ms. Morgan’s experience has provided her with a comprehensive knowledge of public finance transactions, serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and trustee’s counsel in various tax-exempt and taxable financings. She has represented numerous boards of education, municipalities, counties and authorities throughout the State of New Jersey in connection with general obligation and revenue bond financings and through various state agencies in conduit financings. She has also served as placement agent’s counsel in connection with many private placement financings for projects located throughout New York and New Jersey . Ms. Morgan has gained valuable experience in the area of redevelopment law, serving as special counsel to several redevelopment agencies throughout the State of New Jersey . Her corporate experience has ranged from the formation of corporations and LLCs, to structuring corporate mergers and stock and asset acquisitions, as well as acting as corporate counsel to several small to mid-sized companies in contract negotiations and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining McManimon & Scotland, L.L.C. in June of 2007, Ms. Morgan was a partner with the law firm of GluckWalrath LLP, Trenton and Red Bank, New Jersey , where she practiced public finance and corporate law since 1998.
Ms. Morgan attended Kent State University for her undergraduate studies receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance in 1991. Ms. Morgan received her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1996. Ms. Morgan was admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey in 1996.
Ms. Morgan is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and has been a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers since 1998.
